How is technology connected to civilization and care?
I am highly concerned, that technology nowadays associates with acts of digital development and is connected to weapon production. And this strategy promotes the level of „civilized“ measurement for countries and populations. I want to really contradict this colonial view involving technology. This mass of unequal production.
Because the very first act of civilization was started with an act of care*. And this is the only way it has to apply in a frame of ethics.
And I want to critically address the fact of technology and care I’m witnessing in current circumstances.
*the very Mead said that the first sign of civilization in ancient culture was a femur (thigh bone) that had been broken and then healed. Mead explained that, in the animal kingdom, if you break your leg, you die. You cannot run from danger, get to the river for a drink, or hunt for food.
